Freshman Journal:
The first year is over, thank god! Got to admit it wasn't nothing like i expected then again kids climbing ropes and breaking out into song and dance seemed a bit farfetched nonetheless. I got my first taste of major level stress, not fond of it but hey not much i can do, i am just a freshman literally lost in a sea of random people. Most people are nice for the most part, teachers treat you like actual adults rather than just kids but so far so good. Year passed by really fast, By far the best moment is watching my teachers kiss a goat, but if this year passed by at the speed of light then that worries me about the next 3. Soon i’ll be in college at Fresno studying criminology, well i hope so anyways, if that does not work out then it's COS for me but at least i have a plan
Sophomore Journal:
Second year of high school is in the bag! Things went by a lot more smoothly than last year, not getting Booed at the rallies was a plus and that's something a lot of people take for granted but, met a lot of new people this year and listened to many stories especially in Art club where we went to LA, and i am not much of an artsy person but i love history and learning about their stories behind the artworks was fun and interesting. It's amazing how many people can speak any language but art can speak to everyone, it's amazing how all racial boundaries are broken just by a painting. Anyways, since i’m basically half way through my senior career i'd been looking into more colleges and which ones are best for criminology and which ones are best for a police career in the future
Junior Journal:
Three down, one more to go! This year has been the most stressful by far, taking harder courses, and of course saying goodbye to old friends and making new ones. One thing that took me by surprise was the “Careers in Education” course, i got to learn what teachers do behind the scenes and how to work with kids, maybe if i can't become a police officer then maybe i can be a teacher, after all i just want to help people. One positive of the year however is that now i’m being seen as one of the “Big Dogs”, sitting on the other side of the court, across the freshman watching how they react to getting booed by ¾ of the school, but being seen as a “Big Dog” makes me think of my future, i won't be in high school forever and that puts a lot of pressure on me to make it to where my sister did, my greatest fear is not being successful in my parents eyes, not making it to college would devastate my parents and myself included. I just hope i can make it through one more year at least, then it's off to the real world.
Senior Journal:
The final year of HS is here! After 4 years of going to the same high school other people and i could not be more happier of leaving, but the road to finally graduating is going to be hard, it's gonna test me, and it's going to suck, Man is it going to suck, We have senior projects that were supposed to be due a while back, we have SAT’s and other tests, AP classes and other classes which we are not comfortable with and will struggle on, we have deadlines on applications and scholarships but it's just preparing us for adulthood and college while some were not even prepared for High school, But time went by fast, i was a lucky one who was prepared for High School like many others but i still found my struggles, missing due dates and forgetting my locker combination for example but I also had good times with my friends and students but now it's my final year and LHS has been good to me, it has prepared me the best I could for my future and I will know soon enough. I plan to be in Law enforcement even though my Pathway is Education but I will hope to study Criminology at Fresno state or University of Nevada Las Vegas.
